The dish doesn't require many ingredients, can be completed in about 30 minutes, and comes out homey and satisfying instead of bracing and spicy. You might need to add some more spice if you're craving or if you want it.

Ingredients:
1 large white onion
3 tbsp vegetable oil
5 medium cloves garlic, chopped
1 pound chicken breast
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp curry powder
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp gram masala
5 tbsp plain yogurt
2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup roughly chopped cilantro leaves
Instructions:
1. Heat oil iover medium high heat. Add diced onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions start to brown around the edges, 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 1 minute longer. 2. Add turmeric, coriander, curry powder, chili powder, gram masala powder, cayenne pepper, and tomatoes. Pour in yogurt. Stir well, and cook for one minute, until yogurt is absorbed.
3. Add chicken mix well. Cover skillet and turn heat to low. Cook until chicken are tender, about 20 minutes. Season with more salt to taste. Garnish with cilantro.
4. Serve it rice and naan bread. Enjoy
